This is a part of a multipart document you can find here Metaplex’s Royalty Enforcement (MIP) everything you need to know
If your favorite collections are migrating to pNFTs you should be ready that some things might not work in the beginning, it’s a new asset class and the space is figuring it out together. Don’t panic if something is not working after migration, likely it will be fixed shortly after.
- Follow updates from your favorite collections, but likely it would mean that for some/most of the collections you own, you would be restricted to the protocols that their creators selected. Make sure you voice your concerns and desires on what protocols you use daily, so creators can make sure that those are whitelisted (or not blacklisted).
- Likely all popular marketplaces, wallets, AMMs, lending and staking protocols will just work out of the box, unless a particular collection decides to restrict that.
- After wallets add support for pNFTs you will be able to transfer NFTs wallet to wallet.
- It’s still unclear how OTC trading like FoxySwap will work. We are in conversations with OTC protocols, and they are exploring ways to add support for that. Likely they will add an option to pay royalties during swaps.
